Get lost with command line parameters...

Post by Puffolino »

I have tried to start the PDFXChange Viewer to show a pdf file in fullscreen mode, it would be also perfect that the viewer would exit, when 'Escape' will be pressed...

I tried something like "X:\Path\PDFViewer.exe /A fullscreen=yes [zoom=100] filename.pdf" and the pdf file will be seen in fullscreen mode, but an annoying dialog appears, that some elements have been hidden now and will be displayed again, when pressing F11.

Now my problems:
• I am not able to get rid of this warning message.
• I could not set a zoom value for now
• I am not sure, if there is a possibility, to get out of the PDF Viewer with just one single Escape in the fullscreen mode

Thanks,
/v\

Hello Puffolino,

You need to pass three parameters for zooming:
zoom=<scale>[,<left>][,<top>]

Like in this example:
PDFXCview.exe /A "page=10&zoom=200,250,100" mypdffile.pdf

Also the fullscreen warning is similar to that in Adobe - as to notify the end user that this is a PDF document, and not e.g. some other application - so that this can not be used as an exploit to make you think you are logging e.g. in your banking software, and then when you click the "submit" button to actually send your username and password to the creator of the PDF file.

I do not think you can exit the end user viewer with just the escape key.

Full control over both of the problematic points is available through our Viewer SDK products:

Best,
Stefan
