Is there a plugin for PDF-XChange that would be able to show PDF files in a browser tab instead of in the external viewer?

Hello Chuck,
Yes there is. You will need to install the stand alone Viewer however, as this is not available with the Portable Viewer.
Just download it from here:
www.tracker-software.com/PDFXVwer.zip
And at install time make sure to select the option for PDF in Browser, and this will install all necessary plugins.
