Field Borders disappear in document after print is selected

I want to keep the field borders, and they do remain there as I type. However when I print the document, all the borders disappear from the fields where I have entered something, and remain on the other fields. How can I keep the borders, or put them back after I have printed the document so can reprint it with borders?

It is possible that these borders are non printable and are visible only on your screen.
We would be able to tell more if you can attach the file to this topic.

Also please let us know which OS are you using as well as the printer you are printing to.

Thank you for looking at this. The file is attached. OS is Windows XP Sp3. Printer is HP Deskjet 5550. It is interesting that only fields where data is entered have the borders removed.

thanks for the sample. I see the exact same behaviour in both our Viewer and Adobe Reader. While I have not asked one of the development team to investigate further it would appear to me that this is what the form is designed to do.

Given that AdobeX does the same thing are you sure that this is not intended?

Thank you for responding. I did not have Adobe loaded, so I was not aware that it did the same. If I print the document in another product it leaves the field outlines. I now suspect the pdf has some java coding that is clearing the borders, which you support and the other product does not. Even though it looks incorrect, it is evidently by design.

Yep appears like the JS in the file is clearing the field borders.
