File Save of outlook attachments

If I get a .pdf File in my outlook 2010 inbox, open it, make some changes, and want to save it, I get an error "Invalid access mode". It would be nice, if instead of getting this error, I could save the file with the usual "save as" dialog. This happens also, if I extract a page from a file and push after the save button.

I know, I could use the correct function, and I know, that I could personalize the button bar and put the "save as" button inside, but it would be nice to work without it. Except there are some reasons to not do it, that I am not aware.

We cannot resolve this problem because outlook locks this file for changing (may be it is read only).

It would be nice, if instead of getting this error, I could save the file with the usual "save as" dialog. This happens also, if I extract a page from a file and push after the save button.

Sure, we will add this feature in the next build. Please wait.

Vasyl's latest comment in this topic was in September last year, when the things were a bit different.

It seems that this FR was not implemented back at the time, and right now we have stalled all FRs so that we have the resources to work on the new major releases of our products, so this will have to wait some more time.

I have made a FR ticket for this case:
