No "file associations" entry in the menu.
I was trying to disable opening pdf documents inside the browser window. The manual instructs me to go the the "file association" entry in the Preferences menu, but I do not have this option. In my menu, the line "Accessibility" immediately follows the line "languages". I understand why there is no "Registration" entry, as my copy is "Pro" and already registered, but where are the "File associations"?

Perhaps you're using the portable version or the browser plugin?

Hi mdina,
can you send a screen shot of your preferences screen? As Bhikkhu pointed out the portable version does not include the "File Associations" category but it should include the Registration category.
This is a screen shot of the Portable Version's Preferences screen:

What build are you using? The current version is 2.5.191. If that is not the version you are using please update to this and try again.

I am using the latest build 2.5.193 and have exactly the same problem. My preferences screen is the same as the previous screen shot. There is no option to set file associations.
How do I set the default file associations for this product?

Hi drm200,
are you trying to set this in the Preferences from within the addin running in your browser or in the stand alone Viewer? This setting is only available in the stand alone Viewer and will affect the use of our addin in the browser though.

Re: No "file associations" entry in the menu.
I am usiing the standalone viewer. After clicking "edit" and "preferences" in the viewer, There is not an option for "File Associations". An image has been uploaded so that you can see the options I have available.
Please note, there is not a firefox plug-in installed for this software. I have verified this by looking at the firefox installed plug-ins and extensions. Additionally, I have not found a pdf-xchange plug-in available for download. I downloaded the portable.zip file from your site again and found no plug-ins available in the zip file.
My original problem is firefox can not view pdf files within the browser. I was trying to fix this by setting the file associations ... but can not figure out how to set them so that your viewer works with-in firefox. The viewer works fine for opening saved pdf files outside of firefox.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Sorry, portable version does not support file associations - because it is portable. Of course you may set file associations manually (using "Open With ..." from context menu in windows explorer), but portable version also does not support browser plug-ins. To manage file associations by Viewer and to support plug-ins you will need installable version of Viewer.
