pdf-x-vwr not printing correctly ocr'd pdf

PDF Xchange Viewer (2.5 build 192) does not correctly print a pdf created by Abbyy FineReader 9.

A page is scanned, the scanner outputs file "colorscan.pdf". This file is printed correctly by PDF Xchange Viewer.
This file is opened in Abbyy Fine Reader and ocr'd, text behind original picture, and saved as colorscan_ocr.pdf. The file colorscan_ocr.pdf is not correctly printed by PDF Xchange Viewer, whereas the same file is printed correctly by Adobe Reader 9.
The problem occurs on all printers, but the amount of distortion varies between printers.
This happens only when scanned in color mode. If scanned in grayscale or b/w then ocr'd, the ocr'd file is printed correctly also by PDF Xchange Viewer.

First please ensure that you are using the latest build of our Viewer (2.5.193) and if the problem still exists, please try to "Print as Image", and also attach a scan of the print output to this topic if possible.

OK, I installed the latest build of the Viewer (2.5.193) and the problem remains the same.
With "Print as Image" the printout is OK.
But Adobe Reader prints the same file correctly with "Print as Image" UNselected.

Attached, a scan of three printouts:
- from PDF Xchange Viewer with "Print as Image" UNselected
- from PDF Xchange Viewer with "Print as Image" Selected
- from Adobe Reader with "Print as Image" UNselected
The scanned pages were printed on a Ricoh Aficio device (which also was used for scanning).
The printout on a HP CLJ 4650 looks exactly the same.

from PDF XChange Viewer to PDFill with "print to image" UNselected: Bad
from PDF XChange Viewer to PDFill with "print to image" Selected: OK
from Adobe Reader to PDFill with "print to image" UNselected: OK

I see your point. I have however passed this on to the development team to investigate but I suspect V3 will resolve this. In the meanwhile can you make do with using "Print as images"?

I don't expect an immediate fix,
as there is the workaround of "print as image" as well as print from Adobe Reader,
and it is an unusual case (ocr'd pdf in color).
But with both workarounds, the printer needs much more time for printing.

Btw, printing on a PostScript printer (WinXP driver, pscript5.dll version 5.2.3790.3959 dated 2007-02-17)
results in the same incomplete printout as with the pdfill pdf printer.

the dev team have done some work to improve this. Build 194 is expected to be ready for download b y Monday. Can you update and test when it is ready please? Do be sure to let us know here how it works for you.

Hello,

with build 194, the file prints well on PCL printers - thank you for fixing -
but not on PS.
On PS printers, only bitmaps and portions of the graphics are visible, the text area is all black.
"print as picture" still works also on PS printers.
