The reason for not opening from page one is because our Viewer remembers where you closed a document and when you reopen it, you see it as you left it. The number of files it remembers is initially 50 (the number of files in the File -> Recent menu is the same) which you can change through Edit -> Preferences -> General.
We hope you will enjoy our software and if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask them, we are here to help.

I have a 270 page document which always opens at the first page, regardless of what page I was on when I closed it. I have tried all combinations of the settings "Restore Last Session when application starts" and "Restore the last used view of document" without effect. "Maximum of Documents in Recents" is 50. Is it no longer true that Viewer remembers where you closed a document? Is there some other setting which I need to change to get this behavior?
Provided that you have these settings in the Edit -> Preferences -> Page display section:
You should see your documents open on the same page and with the same zoom as when you closed them before
If with these settings you are still experiencing problems, please do upload the file here to the forums (or if sensitive, send it to support@pdf-xchange.com) as we would like to take a look at it.

Turning off the setting "Restore last used Layout and Zoom settings for pages from the Recent List when opening" also turns off the feature to reopen the document at the page you were on when you closed it. This is not documented, but it is exactly what I was looking for.
