Hi everybody,
it seems to me that the last update 2.5.194 brought up an error within the printing dialogue. If the page layout of the printer is set to portrait and I use PDF-XChange Viewers feature to print several pages on one (in this case two from left to right) and if I checked to turn pages automatically the programm does not turn the pages. That means that the pages are printed with an extent of a quarter of original size while an extent of a half is expected. If page layout is set to landscape within printer settings everything works fine (as also did in portrait mode before update).
Can others verify this behaviour and - if so - may you correct it?
Regards
Christian

Re: Error with print dialogue?
Hello Christian,
In this build (2.5.194) we did change the logic for page rotation when printing Multiple Pages per Sheet (actually removed the automatic sheet rotation), as there was a case which we needed to handle - it was six "column" pages that are designed in such a way so that they could be printed together on one A4 sheet.
With the previous build of our Viewer you could not achieve such positioning of the pages:

And the best one possible was this:

Which is obviously not what was needed.
So while the logic is a bit different now (and you need to change the layout from the printer settings), it is the better one and allows more control over the printing process.
Best,
Stefan

Re: Error with print dialogue?
Hello,
I'm having the same problem as Christian when I try to print 2 pages per sheet. I read your response, but I can't find any combination of options or printer settings that lets me print 2 sheets on 1 page. If you can't you offer more specific instructions on how I can print 2 pages on 1, I will have to revert to Acrobat. I can't help but feeling that an 'upgrade' that accommodates the tiny proportion of users that might want to print 6 sheets on 1 page at the expense of the likely greater number of users that want to print 2 sheets on 1 page is a pretty questionable upgrade.
Sincerely,
Jack.

Re: Error with print dialogue?
Hello Jack,
Please instead of the predefined "2 by 1" try a custom multiple pages per sheet and set that to "1 by 2" and check the "Auto rotate pages in cell" and this should allow you to fit them in the most optimal way on your page.
Best,
Stefan
