Hello,
The only reason I'm thinking of buying Bluebeam's PDF Revu over PDF XChange Pro is because of the pencil tool. I'm a student and use a tablet PC to take notes during class, and your pencil tool is very frustrating to use when taking notes on PDFs. After you draw something using the pencil tool, if you try to draw something over what you previously drew, the pencil tool automatically changes to a select tool that moves your previous drawing instead of drawing over it. Why in the world?
Is there any way to keep the pencil tool from moving around drawn objects? Make it behave like an actual pencil tool as shown in any paint program, Microsoft OneNote, PDF Annotator, or Bluebeam PDF Revu?

Hello slipd,
Please open the Viewer and go to Edit -> Preferences -> Commenting and activate the "Enable exclusive mode for commenting tools" (the pencil tool is in this category). Now every new drawing with your tablet pencil will be an additional comment, and you will need to explicitly press the Shift Key to select any comment in your files.
Best,
Stefan

Re: Pencil tool for tablet users
This is me right now:
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was kind of bummed that I would have to get the more expensive bluebeam pdf revu (and honestly, I like PDF XChange better). Is this option in the commenting preferences fairly new? I feel like I've looked through the preferences before, maybe in a previous version, and did not see this option before.
Thanks again!
