When reading a document the bookmarks view insists on scolling itself to show bookmarks in the currently viewed section of the document even if I'm trying to read one part of the document while wanting to be able to see the list of bookmarks available in a different section of the document.
This annoyance is made worse because while the bookmarks list often contains a full navigational listing of the chapters and subsections in a document I often also create a custom bookmark at the top called 'My Place' which I reset to whichever part of book I've currently read up to. In this case the bookmarks window scolls itself to the very top of its listing everytime I scroll the document past the location that I've bookmarked as 'My Place'.
Essentially I just want bookmarks to jump to that part of the document when I click on them, and nothing else, I don't want the bookmarks view scrolling itself about in accordance with its uninformed guessing of what I want to be looking at.
Is there any way to prevent this please?

Re: How to stop bookmarks window scrolling around automatically?
Hello Neutrino,
I am afraid that no you can not stop the bookmark tree from "jumping" as it tries to show the bookmark that is closest in position to the page you are viewing.
This problem should be mitigated with ver3 of our Viewer, where you will be able to open two sections of the same document and view and scroll them independently.
Please have a look at this topic for what's coming in ver3 later this spring:
