BUG: Search Pane

Post by Bhikkhu Pesala »

  1. Open the Search panel on the right and the Bookmarks panel on the left
  2. Undock the Search panel and try to drop it on the Bookmarks panel
The search pane occupies almost the entire window making maximised PDF-XChange unusable.

Solution: Restore the PDF-XChange window and undock the Search panel to make it floating, then dock it back where it belongs.

Hello Bhikkhu,

It appears that this happens when the search pane is trying to attach itself above or below the bookmarks pane, and as it's height can not be adjusted (it matches the height of the main window) - it results in the said pane occupying almost the entire usable area. I will now speak with the guys to check whether this permanent height is intentional when the search pane in undocked.

Best,
Stefan
