Problems printing PDF files from Firefox 4

Hi there

I am having a strange problem with PDF XChange viewer in Firefox 4. I use it every day to view and print PDFs from within the browser. I used to be able to activate the print dialogue by pressing CTRL+P after selecting the tab. It does NOT work any more.

Now I have to:

1. Select the tab
2. Click somewhere INSIDE the PDF
3. Click CTRL+P

It's a couple of extra steps that do slow down the process.

Is this a known bug and is there a way around it?

we will need to do a little more testing here. We find that V3.6.16 of Firefox and build 195 of PDF-XChange Viewer does pass CTRL+P without requiring the focus to be set to the document by clicking it as you describe but we've been unable to reproduce this with FF4 even using build 194 of PDF-XChange Viewer.

Are you certain that this worked with FF4? If so can you tell me the versions you had when this last worked for the following:

• OS - Version of Windows
• Architecture - 32 or 64 bit
• Version of PDF-XChange Viewer (current build is 195, last was 194 etc).
• PDF-XChange Viewer install file. Did you install from the exe installer, an msi, just the Viewer or as part of the PDF-XChange 4 Pro bundle.
• The version of Firefox that last worked.

I'd like to recreate this but can only see CTRL+P being passed in V3.x of FF not V4.x and suspect this is a change in the way FF are handling this. This would be key to identifying if we need to make changes on our end.

Thanks so much for your quick reply.

You may be right - it probably stopped working since the update to FF4.

Is there a way around this issue?

OK - I'll we'll take a look and see if we can determine why it'sa not working in FF4. I'll post here what we find out. If anyone else can reproduce the issue where FF4 does pass CTRL+P without clicking on the document to give it focus please post your set up here.
