Annotations Not Showing up

I've got some PDF's (architectural drawings) where quite a bit of the text/annotations are missing when viewed in PDF-XChange Viewer. However when I open the PDF's up in Adobe's reader they are visible.

I did not generate the pdf's myself so I need to be able to work with these the way they are unfortunately.

Hi,

I suspect you are not using the latest release - when I view here the 2 files look identical - please take a look at your Help -> About' option and ensure you have build 2.0195 and if not manually update to the latest release from the downloads available here :

I suggest this as opposed to the Help -> Check for Updates as if you are using an older release this may not successfully update to the latest release.

If you still believe their are problems - please annotate a sample showing where content is missing.

I uninstalled my previous version and installed the latest before posting this to make sure that wasn't an issue.

Help>About says Version 2.5(Build 195.0) which matches up with the version listed at the link you posted.

EDIT: I just checked with another guy in my office and the same PDF is opening up fine for him with the notes/text there no problem. He was running 2.5 Build 189.0.

Hi ethomson,

are you sure the file you uploaded has the comments? Looking at that portion of the document in both our Viewer and Adobe Reader I see no comments at all and both render the same.:

Sorry that revision cloud was just me pointing out an example of the text thats not showing up. It was probably fairly obvious without me adding that

Yes this is still an issue for me. Apparently my coworkers pc is displaying the PDFs just fine, but mine will only show up correctly in Adobe Reader and not PDFXchange

Very stange - can you advise please the version of Windows in use and if you are using a 32 or 64 bit PC ?

Also - is this the same as your co-worker ?

I completely removed/uninstalled. Rebooted. Installed it fresh. Rebooted. And it seems to be working now. Apparently updating it previously didn't fix it.

For reference I've got Windows Vista 64bit and my coworker has Vista 32 bit.

I guess it's resolved now thank you!
