Auto-enable "Select tool" at startup/load of pdf possible?

Post by mattad »

I am using very often the "Select tool".
To enable this I have currently always manually to click the menu
Tools->Basic Tools->Select Tool

Is there a way to tell Xchange pdf viewer to AUTOMATICALLY eneable this tool at startup/loading of a pdf?

Hello Matt,

It's not currently possible, but as a faster solution you could easily set up a custom shortcut key so that you can easily switch to the text select tool.

Best,
Stefan

Hmm, that pity. Setting up a shortcut is not that comfortable.

Could you include an option in the next release?
Programmatically including such an option should be very easy.

Thank you

Hello Matt,

I am sorry but most probably it won't be in the next build as we are now stalling pretty much every request so that the guys have enough time to finish ver3 of the Viewer in time. But after ver3 is released we would be willing to check and consider every reasonable request once again.

Please lets see what ver3 will bring in we can then resume this discussion.

Best,
Stefan
