PDF-Xchange 3.6 - windows 7 help

Post by tortmom »

I was recently using the trail version of pdf-xchange 3 with XP. I really started to like it. Mainly, I was using it as a printer to turn any screen object I needed printed or saved to a file, into a pdf format. I already own Adobe Acrobat Standard. I really never used xchange for correcting, viewing, changing documents or anything else. All my viewing was done through my adobe acrobat.

Now I'm totally confused. I just bought a new pc with windows 7. I am willing to purchase the product, but I can't figure out which one is the closest to the pdf-xchange 3 I was using. I don't think I need all the whistles and bells, but I'm not sure. I don't want to buy something I don't need. I've been looking over this site, and it just confuses me more.

Can anyone please help? I'm really in a bind. I have to document emails I receive and using windows to save it as a "file" does not help me. Plus, trying to get everything I own to work with 7 is just killing me. :?

Hello tortmom,

I would recommend you the PDF XChange 4 Standard:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... e-standard
as this is the current product, and you will most probably have issues with PDF XChange v3 on Win7.
(ver 4 is supported and certified by Microsoft to wotk with Win 7)
The standard printing driver is allso our fully featured PDF Creation driver, and you will have full control over the printing/saving/tuning up process for each PDF file created.

If you need just the basic then please have a look at our PDF XChange Lite printing driver:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... hange-lite
Which while limited in the number of features available will still do the "printing" - even if with less control available for you.

If you decide that the Lite driver is the one you need - then have a look at our Viewer:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... nge-viewer
As a license for the Viewer costs just 7 Euro (10.50 USD) more than a license for the Lite driver and you will get both products with this promotion:

Best,
Stefan
