BUG:"Signed By" field in Digital Signature Properties window

Post by Wizard270 »

Hi!
I'm using the latest version of PDF-XChange Viewer (Portable version, 2.5 build 195.0) and I've noticed a bug with the Digital Signature Properties window.
The Signed By field does not display the user certificate that signed the pdf document, but the certificate authority that issued the user certificate.
I have attached a pdf file that shows the problem. This file has been digitall signed by a user certificate with the name of John Doe, but if I double-click the signature and the Signature Properties window appears, the Signed By field does not show "John Doe", but it shows "Secure Soft Private CA" which is the company that issued the certificate of John Doe. Also, the View Certificate button displays the authority certificate and not the user certificate.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thanks for the sample Wizard270,

I have asked one of our developers to check this case, and if he confirms this is not the expected behaviour we will create a ticket sand get this bug resolved.

Best,
Stefan

The issue is fixed. Fix will be available in the next build of the viewer.
