Windows Search does not indexing PDF Files after installing

Since I have installed PDF Xchange windows search does not index PDF files anymore. If I reinstall Adobe Reader after the Installation of PDF XChange the PDF Files will be indexed again. What can I do to index PDF files without Acrobat reader?

Hello FluckigD,

Please make sure that you have installed the Shell Extension that comes with our Viewer, and windows should then be searching through and indexing PDF files properly.

The Shell Extension seams to be installaed. See Attached Screenshot. But I have no Windows Search index for PDF files. Are there any Registry Keys for Shel Extensins to check?

I'm not sure about the registry entries - I could probably find out, but I'm interested in seeing if you have shell extensions are actually working for you. Are you able to see thumbnails of your PDF files in Windows Explorer? If so then Shell Extensions are functioning and we need to determine what is happening with the indexing. If not we need to get that running.

Do you have previews of PDF files in Explorer?
