Print...Save As..dialogue box issues

Post by brickcutters »

Greetings

I cant seem to disable the "Run viewer Application after saving" tickbox. I dont always want to see what is produced..I just need to file documents quickly

Also..there is "append to" but NOT " insert before" tickbox option

Also when saving PDF to existing PDF file there is dialogue box that gives option "Direct Overwrite" as first option. It would be safer to make "insert before" or "Append to" first choice because if you make mistake you can delete pages added...

Looking forward to using V3

Thnx

Hi Dave,

What product are you using? Both PDF-XChange 4 Lite and Standard Print Drivers have save options that you can setup the behaviour of both the running an application after conversion, so I need to text the right product to see if as you say unchecking the run application after printing option is not functioning as expected.

The Save options are available when you right-click the printer from the printers list and select printing preferences and then click the Save category.

You can as well set the default behaviour of the If File Exists Dialog here.

In the drop down list beside If File Exists: select whether you want it to Append or Insert before instead of show warning dialog.

As the most selection is Driect Overwrite this will remain the first selection in the list if it's set to Show Warning Dialog.

So let me know which product you are using that is still running the Viewer after printing even though you've unchecked run application after printing so we can test the behaviour here.

As well please let me know what version of Windows you are using and whether it is 32 or 64 bit.

Thanks,
Chris
