Dear All,
I'm using the latest version of PDF-XChange Viewer in Linux, with Wine (the Windows emulator).
All features are working well, except the "type writer" tool, which is saving text in white fonts! When I open the document, I can't see the annotations, since they are all the same color as the background (also white). Please, is that because I'm using the free version of the program? If not, how can I fix it?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Daniel

Re: typewriter
Hello Daniel,
While we do not officially support Linux and Wine - we do still try to provide as much help as possible when it comes to using our products in such an environment.
The first thing I will suggest is that you check that you have the latest build of our Viewer (2.5.195), and if not - download and use that build:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... nge-viewer
If you do have the latest build - then please do have a look at this KB Article:
How do I change the default text used in the typewriter or text box tools as the issue you are experiencing might be just a default text colour set to white
Best,
Stefan

Re: typewriter
Dear Stefan,
thanks for the reply. Indeed, changing the font addressed the problem! After replacing the font from Tahoma to MS PGothic or DejaVu Sans, I don't get the problem anymore. If I switch back to Tahoma, though, the problem comes back. I don't know exactly what is causing the problem, but it is definitely something related to the fonts (maybe specifically to Tahoma?)
Thanks a lot for the great software!
Best regards,
Daniel

Re: typewriter
Hi Daniel,
I was expecting the issue to be with the text colour and not related to a specific font, so can I ask you to archive (.zip .rar or .7z) one sample file and attach it here so that we can have a look?
Thanks,
Stefan
