Any time I use the snap shot tool, the program freezes the entire computer. I opened the task manager to see what is happening and the ram loads up to 7.8GB when I use the snap shot tool. It will come back to normal after then I click "copy page selection" and it freezes again for the same time period and loads the ram up again.
The other problem I am having now is the attachment tool. I use it but then nothing gets attached. And the icon of the attachment tool on the PDF is very enlarged. Same with the other PDF's I made since Sunday. Today the all open up really big and all the comment, attachment tool irons are huge.
It was working great last night.
I am running windows 7,
Intel Core i5-2500CPU@3.30GHz
8.00 GB Ram
64-bit

Re: Freezing Up
Hey Herb,
If it was working last night, I would think our first and easiest troubleshooting step, would be to simply roll Windows back a day with system restore. Let me know if you need instruction on how to accomplish this.

Re: Freezing Up
Did that this morning and also restarted the computer twice. Still didn't fix it. I can still work with it but not use any comment tabs since they come out so big and not use the snap shot. I can wait to figure it out.
I think I will check the preferences and make sure I didn't click something wrong because I was reading a lot of posts in the forums and I was trying out all the tricks to to see how stuff works.

Re: Freezing Up
Jamie,
Everything is working now, I am continually opening a project that has 2080 pages. The snap shot tool works now but the icons stay big except when I increase the size of the PDF. Then when I increase the size they apparently reduce in size. I know why. When I created the comments and inserted it, it was under 600% magnification. So when I go back to 600% magnification, it is normal. This is problematic. When viewing at normal 100% the icon is pretty big. It does not adjust to the increase or decrease size with the document.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Re: Freezing Up
Hello Herb,
Have you checked in Edit -> Preferences -> SnapShot Tool - what is the DPI setting you have.
If you have e.g. 600 DPI and your pages are big (e.g. 30 by 40 inches) - this could put quite some load on your machine.
Please try reducing the DPI - and maybe snapping only portions of the page - you can drag with the mouse to outline an area smaller than a full page. A single click and release of the mouse button with the snapshot tool selected will try to capture the full page otherwise.
Best,
Stefan

Re: Freezing Up
Stefan,
The Dots Per Inch were set at 600. I set the DPI to 100 now. I will try that.
Thanks for that great info.
