Re: how to move original text?
garconcanadien,
I just tried it. I can on some PDF files that I create and modify but not on the PDF file I received through email, downloads etc.. You may still be able to highlight and comment the PDF. But once it has been flattened by the originator, it pretty much is frozen.
The best method I found to edit an existing PDF is to convert it to Word, do your editing and then convert it back to PDF. I do this with manufacturer submittals sometimes when the online product info is out of date and I need to submit right now. I can change, insert, move or delete sentences. Then I turn it back into a PDF.
In PDF Tools 4.0 there is a Edit Page/Content Setting, I haven't tried it yet. Looks like that might be fun.
Good Luck

Re: how to move original text?
Hello garconcanadien, and thanks for the help Herb!
The PDF Tools Edit Page/Content Setting feature will edit the settings, and not the actual content of a document I am afraid.
Actual text editing is not yet possible in our Viewer, but is one of the planned features for ver3.
You can read more on ver3 here:

Best,
Stefan
