About The signatrue and security

Post by Oeman »

Hi,
My English is not good. So I just use easy words to describe my problem.
1. I want to do that a PDF document can be sign for 2 or more users. But I don't want to that they can be modify any thing, only sign their signature in the PDF document. Can I do that?

2. How to use PDF-Xchange to remove the digital signature? Because Adobe can be remove the digital signature. But in PDF-Xchange I can't find any function can be do that.

Thanks.

Hello Oeman,

When you open a document in our Viewer go to the document properties (Ctrl + D or File -> Document Properties) go to Security, and after you select that you want to protect your file with a password for changing permissions - you should then be able to set a security restriction that will only allow other people to comment, sign and fill in form fields in your file.

As for deleting an existing digital signature in a PDF file - I am afraid that this is not yet possible in our Viewer.

Best,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
Thanks your answer. After I check the permission, I think that another item fit for my request. After I chose it, the PDF file can't be add any object include digital signature. The item is "Filling in form fields and signing existing signature fields". Can you tell me that those item diffrent function? Or any document can help me to understand it?

Thanks.

Hello Oeman,

The option you selected does only let people to fill in form fields, and if there is an existing field ready to accept a signature - place a signature only in that field. If there are no such fields other people will not be able to place a new signature with the Document -> Signing -> Sign Document option available inour Viewer, but if you select to allow "Commenting, filling in form fields and signing document" - this should work.

Best,
Stefan
