Print on a PS-printer creates a very large printfile

Hi,

we are using a printer Olivetti d-color witch provide print as PS- and PLC-Mode

When I print a document I get a really large print file and it takes a long time for printing the file.
whit the Adobe Reader the print file is much smaller and it is quicker.

Print with the AdobeReader . . . . . . . . Print with pdfXChangeViewer
. . . . . . . . . . . . .

What can I do to do the job faster?

At this time there is nothing you can do to improve your performance. The challenge lies in how we process post script and PCL. We are aware of this and will be addressing it for Version 3...Just not the initial release.

when I deactivate the Option "Print as Image" the file size will be smaller and the print goes faster

Hello Andy,

Yes - that's definitely going to improve things, but please be aware that we can not guarantee a correct output to a PCL printer with "print as image" deactivated - so please do monitor your print results, and if there is a problematic file - make sure to pint just it with "print as image" turned on.
