feature suggestion

Post by cyraxote »

It would be great to have the ability to "sync" two files, so that when looking at them side by side, advancing a page in one file advances it in the other, scrolling in one scrolls in the other, or zooming in one file zooms in the other.

This would be very convenient for comparing files. Hey, there's another idea: automated comparison of files for changes!

Thanks!

Which, the syncing, the automated changes, or both?

Also, I'm guessing that v 3 will require an upgrade fee? Any idea how much that will be?

Thanks again.

It won't cost anything if your maintenance hasn't expired! :D Just log into your account you set up when you purchased our software and your upgrade paths and maintenance will be right at your fingertips!

OK, my maintenance plan expired last year. However, I don't see any option to "restart" it.

My upgrade area says I can get a license for PDF Tools for $7.65??!!

Thanks.

Hello cyraxote,

In order to get the new major version for free you will need to extend your maintenance for the Viewer (which we will need to set up manually from our end and which will cost $11.25 USD), or upgrade to the PDF Tools license, and get the new license with a year of maintenance included - starting at the upgrade date.

So if you want to extend the Viewer license - please do contact us on support@pdf-xchange.com and we will guide you through the process, and if you are happy with the PDF Tools upgrade (which is slightly cheaper) then simply purchase it through your account on the website.

Please note that if you upgrade to the Tools license you will loose the free PDF XChange Lite:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/free_offer_lite.html
As only Viewer Serial Keys are accepted in the Lite driver and the new Tools one you will receive will not work with the Lite driver.

Best,
Stefan

Hello, I am a relative new user of pdf Xchange viewer, but I like it very much!
But if I understood you right, with the V3 it is possible to copy / paste several objects at the same time, like we are used to from other programs like powerpoint (by pressing the Ctrl-key during selection) for example?
If not, this would be a very useful feature in order to come closer to the ideal "paperless office"!
Thank you and kind regards from southern Germany

Hello Michael Kautt,

Yes you understood that right - selection of multiple objects/comments is coming in ver3 later this year.

Best,
Stefan
