Hi,
I use a 12.1’’ tablet so I usually switch to full screen mode when viewing documents. At most of times I have to open over a dozen of documents and need to press hotkeys in each of the document window to switch into full-screen mode for them.
Is it possible to configure PDF-Xchange viewer so it opens in full-screen mode in default?
Thanks,
Bob

Re: Open in full-screen mode by default
Hello Bob,
I do not think this is possible, but for me on my machine with build 2.5.197 of the Viewer - if I have more than one document opened in tabs in the same instance of the Viewer - when I switch to full screen mode (F12) and then use Crtl + Tab to toggle between the opened documents - they are all shown in the same way - in Full screen.
Also when I use the Crtl + O hotkey combination to open a new PDF file - it also opens in full screen.
I think that you are either using separate instances of the Viewer for each file, or maybe an older build and that's why you are experiencing this problem with each file being with it's separate settings and not all of them being displayed in full screen.
Best,
Stefan

Re: Open in full-screen mode by default
Stefan,
It is true that I am opening separate instance of viewer and I launched a batch of PDF files in a .bat file from the Windows explorer. However, is there a way to append a starting parameter after the Xchange viewer executable file so it opens in full-screen mode in default, like:
"...\PDF-XChange Viewer.exe -?parameter? mypdf.pdf"
?

Re: Open in full-screen mode by default
Hello Bob,
Yes you could use
PDFXCview.exe /A "fullscreen=yes" mypdffile.pdf
(Please check the Viewer manual for a list of all the command line options)
But please note that in Win7 some security features might kick in - and prevent the Viewer from doing that - just as the highlights in your other topic - win7 can be quite "paranoid" at times - and for the majority of cases it is a good thing.
Best,
Stefan

Re: Open in full-screen mode by default
Stefan,
I have tried the parameter. However, if I append it in "Shortcut properties", Windows prompts "the name is not valid. Make sure path and file name are correct".
Why does this happen?

Hello Bob,
Pleaes post part of your batch file here - e.g. the line with which you are opening one of the files - so that we can have a look at it - and we might be able to advise better after that. Otherwise for now - all I can think of is to double check your paths, and make sure that you are placing any paths with spaces (e.g. Documents and Settings) in quotes.
Best,
Stefan
