Keyboard shortcut to put focus on search pane?

Post by Ivan »

I'm always using the full search pane, and miss a way to give focus to it with the keyboard. I've remapped the shortcut from CTRL-ALT-F to just F which is a bit quicker, but if the pane is open, which it always is, you need to press F twice - close then open the pane.

If there were a way just to focus the text field with one keypress that would be nice.

Thank you for including Bookmarks in the free version by the way - that's a great addition and will be much-used.

Hello Ivan,

I am afraid that the double pressing is the only way to get the focus there for now.
I think there was a similar topic in these forums before, but I would now recommend to wait and see what PDF XChange Viewer 2011 will bring (the next major version of our Viewer expected later this year), and if there is no improvement in this aspect I will pass the problem to the guys in our dev team.

Best,
Stefan

Glad I could do that much Ivan!

But I will pass the request only if it's not already in ver3 later this year, so please do remind me in this topic if needed :)

Best,
Stefan
