Watermarks does not show up on newly created pdf

I purchased and installed XChange Standard 4 today. Configured a text watermark but it won't show up in newly created pdf from MS WORD doc. Watermark showed in pane as I was configuring it. Is the watermark supposed to be embedded automatically as I am creating a new pdf, or is there something I have to do during conversion to pdf? Thanks.

Hi,

There is a setting in the watermark section which specifies whether the watermark ends up in the foreground or the background, please ensure that this is set to foreground and if that does not fix things, please send us a screenshot of your watermark settings screen to support@pdf-xchange.com for further investigation.

I unclicked the "background" button but the watermark does not appear on the pdf that I created afterwards. I just sent you my screenshots.

what we really need David is the sample PDF file to analyse and also the image being used as a watermark (if any) - please zip and provide and we will endeavour to assist further.

I am sending over the zip file.
The software I installed was purchased only 3 days ago and should be the current one.

Q: Does the size of the doc matter? Two files I want to watermarked: one is 10 mb
and the other 25 mb. Both are MS WORD DOC 2007.

Thanks for the sample file you sent us.
As per the e-mails, it seems like the PDF you try to watermark is in some way corrupted. Please try to recreate it again, and if you are still having troubles, please do upload the Word and the PDF as a file sharing location, and send us the links so that we can download and test it ourselves.

I will recreate a new pdf. But I have become a bit confused re the procedure for insertion of the watermark.

I've done the settings for the text watermark via the "print preference", and the settings remained unchanged. Am I not correct that, with the watermark settings in place, when I create a new pdf, the watermark would appear automatically without further action on my part? (Your last email sounded like I need to create the watermark through some procedure for each newly created pdf.)

Hello David,

You need to set the watermarks once, and they can remain in the list of watermarks for an indefinite period. You can also enable and disable them when needed. Please have a look at this KB article:

Yes, it's been on "enable watermark" all this time. I've just created a new pdf but the watermark function is still not functioning. Should I try installing the software "XChange Standard 4"?

Hello David,

The information about existing watermarks is stored in the registry, so I am not sure whether an unisntall and reinstall will preserve them, and if you use a registry cleaner as well after the uninstall this will most likely break the list of watermarks you have created, but any watermarks that are already placed in a document will not be affected.
