Don't panic. I'm not going to ask for builtin ocr capabilities.
When scanning a document, it would be great to have an option to pass the acquired images to an ocr software by commandline. It will do the recognition and create a pdf, which opens finally.
Abby finereader or omnipage support batch processing by parameters. It would save me lots of time and maybe others too.
feature request: external ocr integration

Re: feature request: external ocr integration
Hi,
OCR is coming in Version 3 and the option to embed the OCR'd text back into the image as a layer for searching etc - will be provided in a limited fashion in all versions - even the free one !
Please be a little more patient - we are close.
