I'm using PDF-Xviewer PRO version 2.0 (build 56.0)
We use smart cars to sign PDF files (Portuguese citizen card) but when I try to sing a document, any document, I get the following error
which roughly translates has "...[System]: The keyset is not defined"
I only have a problem when using the smart card. Any other certificates are ok.
I will ask our developer dealing with digital signing and certificates to have a look at this topic.
In the mean time can you tell us what type of certificate that smart card is providing?
Thanks for the quick reply. Regarding the type of certificate, can you be more specific as to where in windows can I find that information and what exactly you need?
I am not quite "in it" with digital certificates and the like, but I have heard that there are different types - thought you might know what the one on this card is.
As for the actual problem - the guy responsible is already checking and will post here shortly with the findings he has.
it looks like this was not yet attended to. I have made a note to the appropriate people and will follow this through to see that an answer is forthcoming.

The certificate in question is in a card. When I insert the card it gets registered in the windows store. The private key is kept always in the card and it is not possible to copy or move it for security reasons.
we are continuing to investigate this. We have created a Support Request Ticket (internal only) for this item. RT#661: Sign document error - keys not defined and will post here the results of the investigation.

Ivan has done quite a lot on this. Can you update to the current build and test please. If there are still issue then it looks like this will have to wait for V3. http://www.docu-track.com/knowledgebase ... nt-version

Downloaded and installed build 190.0 but still not working.
Also when I sign the document with a different type of signature (not card based), the signature is not showing when I open the document.
after signing and before saving
after saving, close and open document
if it is related that will be something that Ivan or another of the dev team will know. I've passed this on to them. This is going to be investigated for fixing in V3 now I suspect.

after looking into this issue the team are requesting additional information:
Please, ask the user to send us a signed file where the signature isn't shown.
And also we need a screen shot as a confirmation that the signature isn't shown.
To attach this to the forum post you will need to put the files in aan archive - zip, rar, 7z - what ever format you choose then the forum software will allow the upload. Alternatively send it to support@pdf-xchange.com and refer to this thread.
thanks
