pdf-XChange Viwer and Firefox 7 - Plugin

Hi,

I have installed the new Firfox 7 on Windows XP
http://www.getfirefox.com

Now - a pdf document will open in Firefox with the Adobe Reader (and his plugin)

What can I do to use PDF-XChange viewer as defaulet viewer for pdf's?

When I reinstall Fx 6.0.2 - pdf's are open with pdf xchange viewer within the browser.

thanks for the report. I updated my Firefox to 7.0 and also cannot get the installed PDF-XChange Viewer addin to take precedence over the Adobe plugin without removing Adobe from my PC.

We will take a look into this. Unfortunately with the extremely short development cycle Mozilla has adopted recently we are constantly playing catch up. We will do what we can. We have raised a ticket relating to this: RT#1281: Viewer addin fails in Firefox 7

Hi Andy,

In Firefox 7 to use PDF-XChange plugin you must disable Acrobat plugin first. This can be done by clicking "Firefox" button (or "Tools" if you have main menu) -> "Add-ons", then select "Plugins" panel and disable "Adobe Acrobat" in plugins list.
We will make some changes to PDF-XChange plugin, when will are sure that most of our users have updated to latest version of Firefox.
