Hi,
I get an error when I select File > Send by Email. A dialog pops up immediately saying:
PDF-XChange Viewer
--------------------------------------------
Couldn't send the document by e-mail
Error [System]: Unspecified error
--------------------------------------------
My email client is Thunderbird. It is working ok. (Mailto links in web pages start TB ok.)
PDF-XChange Viewer version is Pro 2.5 (build 198.0)
OS is XP Pro SP3, 32 bit
Any ideas as to what might be causing this error?
Thanks

Re: Email PDF Error
Hi Paul,
I use Thunderbird also and it works fine so I know this can be sorted out.
Take a look at these 2 pages - the second specifically details how to set TB as default in XP using the Control Panel. When I did this on a test machine I had to go one step further and actually uncheck "Enable access to this program" for Outlook Express. Once this was done TB was successfully called from PDF-XChange Viewer.

Also make sure to use build 199 (current) as we did some work in this area recently.Windows XP (SP1 or later) go to "Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Set Program Access and Defaults -> Custom", and set "Mozilla Thunderbird" as your default e-mail application.

Re: Email PDF Error
Hi Paul,
Ok thanks.
Control Panel > Internet Options > Programs > Email > set to 'Thunderbird' fixed it.
(It was set on Outlook Express which I had uninstalled, and so would possibly explain the 'System error' message)
best regards,
Paul G
