We use the XChange Viewer Pro in our company.
I know that it is possible to export alle the settings in to a .dat-file.
But .. I didn't find the solution to deploy the toolbar-settings in our network, to all clients.
Is it possible to replace a setting-file in the user-profile oder to replace a key in the registry?
I couldn't find anything..
The settings are indeed exported to a data file, but then when you import them back - they are stored in the registry.
So yes - you can e.g. call the already installed viewer's exe with "/usep <<path to settings file>>" parameter (you should need to do this just once per user) - and all the settings from the data file would be taken and updated in the registry for that user - including toolbar positioning.
Otherwise do check the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDFViewer" entry in the registry - all the Viewer settings that differ from the default should be stored in there on a per user basis.
I was looking in the wrong directory in the registry, however.
The setting should be in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDFViewer\View\Bars\0002 .. (file-toolbar)
Now im just looking for the symbol "Copy Full File Name" .. but only for this
