Questions on comment style

Hi,

I would like to ask a question on comment style.

In preference->Comment, what does

1. Simple Focus Appearance

Mean?


Another question is that sometimes I found the size of the commenting box is too large. For example, if you underline some text, and then double-click the underline to pop a comment box in which you enter the comment. The comment box can be resized, but not smaller beyond a point such that the dimension is approximately 150×75. Although this is only a small region in the whole screen, it is still a big block comparing with height and density of the PDF text. In addition, there is always a upper “title banner” which cannot be removed from the comment box.

Is there a way to make comment boxes even smaller, and to remove the “title banner”?

Hello bob_sun,

The Simple Focus Appearance will remove the "trailing ant" outline that is normally seen when you select an annotation, and replace that with a simpler outline.

As for the comments box size - I am not sure it can be made much smaller, but if there is a comment on any annotation - with simply hovering your mouse over it you should see the comment - without popping up the whole comment balloon.

Additionally you can also always see the comments in the comments pane - so have them hidden in your document and read them in the comments pane.

Hello Bob,

Attached are two images - the same rectangle selected with trailing ants and with the "Simple Focus" activated.

These "ants" create the illusion as if they are moving around the shape selected.
