Using any of PDF-X products on the web?

Post by polarbeer »

We're in search of a lightweight PDF viewer that can be imbedded on our homepage to display PDF-pages. Can any of PDF-X products offer this functionality with the emphasis on lightweight and speed?

Hello polarbeer,

You have posted in the end user forums, but it appears like your question is a developer one.
You can either embed a PDF object (using e.g. iframe) - and rely on the users to have a proper PDF Viewing application to load and display the file in the frame, or you can include our Viewer AX control in your website - and ask your users to download and install it -but this will only work with IE. With embedding the AX you will have a bit more control over the file and the Viewer itself - but are limiting the browsers range to IE only.

You can find a lot of examples how to embed pretty much any file in a web page, and if you are interested in our AX - do let us know and I will move the topic in the appropriate forum, and we will provide guidance shall you have any further questions.

Best,
Stefan
