Using File Viewer Pro - 2.5.200
I am finding that scanning documents via File | New Documents | From Scanner results in a pdf file size about 10 types larger than if the same document is scanned using the scanner's own software.
For example, a 4 page document scanned at 300dpi colour using the scanner's own software results in a file size of 1.5 megabytes. Within PDF-XChange Viewer the file size is 15 megabytes.
The same scanning program is loaded when going through File | New Documents | From Scanner as from accessing the scanner directly, and all the settings appear to be the same. (Scanner: Epson GT-2500, Twain).
Is there anything I can do to get the same result within PDF-XChange Viewer as outside it?

Re: Large size of files scanned via From Scanner
Viewer doesn't use JPEG compression for scanned images, only ZIP.
V3 of the viewer does support wide range of compression for scanned images and file size will be much smaller.

Ok - sounds good - but where is this V3 you refer to? The current version of viewer appears to be 2.52x.
I tried doing a scan with viewer and saved it directly and also saved it by printing it to the print driver using full compression and indeed it was 1/8 the size of the direct scan and save.
Compression in Viewer would be a great convenience.
