Underline tool overshoot

Post by carlhans »

Hi, guys...let me first thank you for this great pdf tool, best in the industry!!
Although i own Acrobat Pro, i am using for reading free PDF Xchange, buch better highliting tools.

Problem:
I got OCR text. "Highlight" tool works like a charm. But Underline and StrikeThrough tools somehow overshoot my highlited area, and if i am underlining more lines, its overshoots the text very far.

like this______

If i use select text tool, it showing correct area, when i press underline button it overshoots. Again, "highlight" works ok, its only "underline" tool which has an issue.

Could you help me solve this issue?

Regards,
Carl

Hi,

Thanks for your email - however the OCR is not intended to provide the functionality required - its current feature functionality is to provide a text searchable layer - not convert the existing content into a text editable content layer and replace the existing content - which would then allow use of the highlight function in the way you describe.

However - you can use the text tool to mimic a similar output option - please see the KB article available form the link below

Hope that helps
