Revert to earlier version?
The printing problem in v2.5 is seriously hindering the way I use PDF-XChange Viewer. Is there a way to revert to an earlier version without doing an uninstall/reinstall?

Re: Revert to earlier version?
Hi BrianG,
we have a planned release for build 201 that fixes this. It 'should' be ready Jan 23rd, as usual with the caveat that we may change this.
If you want to revert to 199 you can get it off the Viewer page - it's at the bottom of the list labeled: Previous stable version (Build 199) | 14 MB
Be sure to check that radio button and download it.
There is no way to revert without uninstalling/reinstalling I'm afraid.

Sorry to interfere with your post...
I don't know why BrianG did not want to unistall the software, but if his problem is simply not to lose all the settings, he can simply export them, re-install, and import the settings, can't he?
probably I'm just saying something obvious, and wasting everyone's time... sorry for that!

Hi Ricaz,
please, no need to apologize, everyone is welcome to participate in these discussions as long as it is done with respect as you have done.
You are correct that if the issue was reverting to old settings then an export/import of the settings should do it. I think BrianG is referring to a bug that crept into build 200 whereby typing on a document then printing it would print the wrong characters. The work around is to save the document, close the Viewer and open that document again and it will then print correctly.
The fix for that is in 201 expected this week end.
Thanks for your input - it is appreciated.

Re: Revert to earlier version?
Actually, the post by Ricaz was helpful. I didn't realize there were any export/import settings options. It took a minute to find them as I didn't expect them to be in the Edit menu. Those options would indeed allow me to install a previous version without losing my settings and customizations. The release of a fix for the printing problem sounds imminent so I'm holding off reverting in the hopes that it will be out soon.
