PDF X Icon
I've recently upgraded my hard drive to a SSD hard drive. I'm still running W7 & Outlook 2010. Since the SSD is much smaller than my previous drive I moved everything but program files to an external drive. I've been able to get back the ability to preview a PDF within my e-mail message without opening attachment. However, I notice the PDF X icon doesn't show up. It's just the stock Microsoft icon as if there are no programs associated with such file type. Other than this small detail the program is working but just curious as to what that may be about. Any ideas?

Hello sunads,
Congrats for the SSD!
Just to be sure - you say that the program files folder is still on that drive- but could you confirm that both MS Office and PDF XChange are properly installed on the SSD (and so is Windows?)
Best,
Stefan

Thanks Stefan
All programs are in tact & working fine. All I did was clone the old drive onto the SSD

Hi sunads,
have you tried resetting the associations to PDF-XChange through Windows? I would go to one of these PDF files on your drive, any drive, it doesn't matter then Right click and choose Open with... --> Choose Default Program --> PDF-XChange Viewer.
This should force the icons again to use ours.
let me know how that goes.
