Search Feature Question

Post by DThorn »

Hello everyone,

I love the product. I am currently testing the free version and had two questions.

1) Is it possible to have more than 200 active PDF's in the paid version?
2) Is it possible to search more than 50 PDF's at a time with either the free or paid version?

Thanks! I have about 600+ files I need to content analyze.

Hello Dave,

The number of simultaneously opened files in our Viewer is limited by the number of "handlers" the operating system can allocate to it, and the limit (while varying from system to system) is about 50 files opened simultaneously.
There is currently nothing we can do to overcome this limit.

But you can use the advanced search (Ctrl-Shift-F) available in the free Viewer to search inside a folder of files - so you can do the search without a need to actually open the files first.

If you installed the shell extension with our Viewer -you should be able to perform a search inside PDF documents using the Windows search (Windows key-F) as well.

Best,
Stefan
