Text added to document prints as boxes

When a pdf that has been typed on using the "Typewriter Tool" is printed, the text from the Typewriter Tool is printed as coloured squares. Perhaps the color is because the font was coloured.

The typed text looks fine on the screen, but appears as boxes for each character on the print preview.

If "Print as Images" is selected in the "Print Options" box in the "Print" window, the typed fonts appear correctly in the print preview, and print correctly.

When the same document is printed using SumatraPDF the fonts appear and print correctly without any special effort.

What to do?

We are aware of this challenge and will be releasing a fix for it with our next build, which should be released in about 7-10 days. In the meantime, simply save the document before printing and this should resolve the issue.

Hi,
just a supplement.
The bug not only affects text added by the typewriter tool but also by the text box tool and text filled in form fields.
Saving, closing and re-opening the modified document before printing helps.
Just saving (without closing and re-opening), as indicated in Jamie's reply, does not solve the problem in my system (running under Windows 7 Prof.).

Yes - this affects all forms of text input, and yes - the file needs to be closed and reopened.

I hope this now clarifies the situation around the problem
And a new build is already scheduled and should be available soon correcting that.
