Freezes/Locks Up on Save

I am using the evaluation version ActiveX control right now inside an MS Access 2010 application. This problem ONLY occurs on dynamic XFA forms. Acroforms work fine.

If I open a PDF, type something, then save, then type some more, then save again, on the 2nd save it freezes up. It always only happens on the 2nd save and happens 100% of the time on the 2nd save. Specifically what happens is, upon hitting the save button (or save in menu) for the 2nd time, my form disappears and the control turns into a gray box with the PDF-Xchange icon in the middle and my entire application locks up forcing me to ctrl-alt-del

Keep in mind I am using the evaluation version. I was possibly suspecting that maybe since it can't add a watermark to dynamic XFA forms it was perhaps causing it to freeze up but I certainly need to make sure this won't be an issue after buying.

The specific XFA PDF I am working on is attached. Can you confirm if you receive the same problem and if there is a workaround? Or can someone from PDF-XChange Company verify that it is only an issue in evaluation version if that is the case?

Do you know the root cause of this? Or more specifically, do you know if this extends beyond this one glitch into other areas that would effect XFA performance? I need a PDF solution very fast but I hate to spend a lot of money on your product if there is something wrong with the way it handles XFA forms that is not limited to this one glitch. In my testing, I have not noticed any other problems with XFA forms however in testing you never imageine every real world scenario.

If this issue is confined to this one minor save/lock up issue I can work around it by simply not displaying your toolbar or menu and using my own "Save & Close" button thus not giving the user the opportunity to make it lock up.

However, do you know if there are other issues related to XFA forms that should concern me before I buy? Such as is the root cause of this particular problem going to cause other issues with XFA as well?

we curently support XFA to around 80% of the format specification, it is a very, very extensive spec and other than Adobe themselves we believe we offer more comprehensive support than any other 3rd party - but to be brutually frank, whilst our Version 3 product will get much closer to the 100% mark when released later this spring (see here https://www.pdf-xchange.com/company ... s/view/111 for a full release schedule) - there will still be some holes and it will be a progressive task as issues arise and priorities are set.

If you want and need 100% XFA support - then there is only one product that can offer this and it is Adobe's own SDK - but good luck with the cost of that, you are looking at quite an investment !!!
