PDF not showing properly/2 (text overposed)

Post by c. masia snc »

Hi,
how you can see in the 2 screenshot attached, we have a strange behaviour: in one our PC, the preview panel of EverDesk show correctly the all the PDF files (see PREVIEW.PDF), but when double-cliking the same file and opening it in with PDFXCV, it is showed like in BLURRED.PDF; more, in another PC, even the preview AND the file opened in PDFXCV are mostly showed as in in BLURRED.PDF.
In either PCs, no font in Document Properties are showing any error. We have also tried changing the rendering options without effect. Any help ? Thank for every info.
Graziano M.

Dear Graziano M.,

Could it be that this is an image based document and not one containing actual text?
If you can attach a sample file (or send it to support@pdf-xchange.com if confidential) - we will check it and should be able to advise further.

Best,
Stefan

HI, thanks for reply.
I attach here two files: one is a sample problematic PDF file and the other is a two snapshots views of the same PDF file.
Apart the difference from preview to opened, can't really understand the text problem.

Dear Graziano M.,

This appears like a font issue - and for some reason the stand alone Viewer is not picking the same substitute fonts as when the files are opened in the previewer.

Please double check that you have the current latest build of our Viewer installed on your machine:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... nge-viewer
And then try to reinstall the Helvetica font.

Please do also let us know which OS you are using (e.g. Vista x32 or Win7 x64).

Attached is an image of how your file looks when opened in my stand alone Viewer

Best,
Stefan
