I work with many PDF files. A project I am working on now involves about 40. But I might switch to another project with almost as many files. Most of these are technical documents of some sort and I have to move about from document to document. Many documents are used in multiple projects.
What I need is a sort of 'Workspace' where I can drop links to documents and group them by subject matter.
Some examples of this that I use are the programmer IDEs like Microsoft Visual Studio and UEStudio by IDE software. Of course, neither one can read PDFs. That's why I would like something from you.
Need a way to bundle files into 'Projects'

Hi Roger,
Nothing like this is currently available in our Viewer and what we can offer is a "remember last session" option.
There are plans to expand on that functionality, but I can not make any promises at this point.
You can of course create "workspaces" as separate folders with PDF files, but a possible problem would be if you want to use the same file and need to make modifications to it that propagate between "workspaces"
Best,
Stefan

Re: Need a way to bundle files into 'Projects'
Really looking forward to seeing some kind of explicit option to save/open session, project or workspace, regardless of the name, either as a free or pro feature.
Currently PDF-XChange Viewer remembers on exit the documents that are open and their page positions, but once in a while, upon starting the program it does not restore all the files that have been open on exit (I usually have 20+ PDF's open for my academic purposes) and it is very important for me that it does restore all the files and their page positions. Therefore, explicit save/open session would take care of that.
Thank you.
EDIT: I've just discovered that the "once in a while" times when PDF-XChange Viewer did not restore documents for me, actually is not related to the program, but the case of me forgetting to mount the drive with the relevant files and the program not being able to open them.
Still, however, such feature would be beneficial regardless of that. If only for the moments like these.

Hi eshtr,
Lets see what the V3 'collections' brings in this regards. I think it will be exactly what you want.
