The PDF files I open within a web browser are always displayed in single page mode rather than single page continuous regardless of how it was saved. Also, this occurs even if I force single page continuous mode in the layout settings. How can I make the PDF always open in single page continuous mode?
The layout mode works like normal when I open it using PDF-XChange Viewer itself. The problem has been confirmed to occur in the latest versions of Firefox, Opera, and IE9. I should note it has been occurring only quite recently. Not sure if an update caused it.
On another note: the ruler always appears when opening a PDF inside a browser. How can I hide it?

HI fp252,
the settings used in the plugin in any browser should be saved when it is closed. That means when the last instance of a browser window with the plugin, you could still have browser windows open but the settings will be saved when the plugin is closed.
I just tested this is the current build and it is doing as expected. To remove the ruler for example,
Edit --> Preferences --> Page Display [category] --> Page Display [panel] --> Initial Display --> Default Page Layout --> Single Page

- open this URL https://www.pdf-xchange.com/fckfile ... hartEU.pdf,
- hide the rulers (CTRL+R or View --> Show Rulers),
- close the browser making sure there are no other instances of the plugin open.
- Open the URL again. The Rulers should not be there.
Edit --> Preferences --> Page Display [category] --> Page Display [panel] --> Initial Display --> Default Page Layout --> Single Page

Re: PDFs always open in single page layout mode in browser
Thank you for your reply, Paul.
Both the ruler and page display fixes you suggested worked. I believe the problem with the page display issue was that I was trying to change the page display setting by right-clicking inside the document -> Document Properties -> Initial View (where changing the setting to Continuous did nothing, regardless), instead of clicking the Preferences button on the top toolbar to make the setting work for all documents.

Hi fp252,
glad it worked for you. You were making changes to the document defaults and that can overridden by other settings in the Viewer.
