An architect uses PDF- XChange viewer to printout and comment drafted plans send to him by other clients.
After he reinstalled a freeware Program "PDF creator" PDF- XChange viewer started to print out vertical lines and horizontal lines with different penwidths. If he prints it out 90 degree rotated again all vertical lines are much thicker. I attached an mage of the effect. The same pdf printed out via Acrobat reader prints out fine with right penwidht vertical and horizontal.
I reinstalled the older version of PDF-XChange viewer. Same thing. I erased all references of PDF creator in the registry. Problem still persisits.
Enlarged drawing to show the effect:
Thanks for the sample image, but would it be possible for you to also zip and upload a sample PDF file - so that we can see if the problem is in our Viewer - or in the software you are using for creating those files.
Attached are 2 Files.
One is printed from PDF Excange viewer to bullzip pdf printer driver. The vertical lines are thicker than "normal".
As a comparison the same excerpt using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 to bullzip pdf printer driver. As you can see the vertical part of the dimension lines is thin and equal to the the horizontal part.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Thank you for your post.
Could you send us the original pdf source files that you are using to print?
We would like to investigate further this issue.
Thanks.
Thanks. I just removed the file from your post and have included it in an internally accessible location for Nico to look at.
In the future - you could also e-mail confidential files and post here in the forums that you did so
Thank you for the file.
I printed your document from Adobe Reader 10.13, Adobe Reader 6.0 and XChange Viewer 2.5.202 to pdf format by using BullZip print driver version 8.2.0.1406 and the pen width apparently was the same (didn't change) in all documents. The color is a little bit darker when the source file is printed from XChange but there's no difference in pen width as far I'm concerned.
Anyway, please send me an email to support@pdf-xchange.com and I will send you the output files so that you can check them by yourself.
Thanks.

Well it seems I've to set up the machine from the client again because it seems that the glitch stems not from Xchange viewer itself but from some other condition present on this computer. The customer by the way likes Xchange viewer very much. A great tool to comment on PDF files.
I too am getting the same problem. I believe there is an issue within PDFxchange. I have printed different PDFs from multiple sources, not just files created by me. I have sent these different files to several different printers. All of them had the same issue when printed from PDFxchange. None of them had this "penwidth" issue when printed from Adobe reader or other viewers.
I have unistalled and re-installed a couple of times and nothing has changed.
I love this software and hope someone/somehow this issue can be worked out.
To HowardCivil: can you provide any PDF file with the issue and let me know on which printer the issue is reproduced.
I had try to reproduce with the latest build of the viewer (2.5.207) and with HP LJ P2055dn (both PCL6 and PS drivers), Ricoh Aficio 1022 PCL6, PDF-XChange 4/2012, MS XPS printer, Adobe PDF converted, and cannot reproduce the issue
