Is this possible ? My List is very confuisung due to very long path names. If not please regard this as feature request and forward message to developers!

Re: Recently opened Documents - Disable View of Path in List
Hi Marek,
The actual document name should be displayed as the last portion of a row in that list,
and in fact you will have paths like "c:\some folder\ .... document_name.pdf"
And if you notice most applications that offer such lists are behaving this way. While it might be a bit overwhelming - it will help in you distinguishing between two files with the same name but located in different folders (e.g. if you have two versions of a file). If only the file names are displayed it will be really hard to tell which file is which and from what folder it comes, and this is usually the bigger problem
So I do not believe the appearance of this list would be changed.
Best,
Stefan

Re: Recently opened Documents - Disable View of Path in List
Thanks for your answer. But I have to persist on my wish
I am handling with many Textbooks as reference when writing articles. So that I only need the name of the book and I do not care about the source folder. For my needs the mentioned option would be helpful. I know the benefits you wrote about.

This is an option I would use also.

An elegant solution would be to reverse the Quick-Info behavior. The list shows only the Name of the PDF and the Quickinfo the full path then the mouse is over the item.

Re: Recently opened Documents - Disable View of Path in List
HI Marek,
nice suggestion. Another option might be to be able to toggle between full paths and file names only.
Also I have made this a formal Feature Request: RT#1583: Feature Request: Recently opened Documents - Disable View of Path in List ? That doesn't promise that the feature will be included but is does provide a record of the request and it will definitely be evaluated.
