changing the idintity name

Hi there,

is there any chance to change the idintity name?
Unfortunately I took a bad one and now I can not write a comment without getting comments regarding my idintity name.

I didn't mean the nick name for the forum!!!
I want to change the idintity name in the PDF-XChange viewer software.
Sorry for missunderstanding. I thought it would be clear as I was writing in that special forum...

Sorry - my initial post was sort of probing if yours wasn't a bot - as we do get quite some of those and are filtering 95% of them before anyone with a regular forum account can see them - as they are obvious, but some require us to actually approve the posts and only then we realize we made a mistake

So to answer your question - if you go to Edit -> Preferences -> Registration in the Viewer, and type in a name there - the Viewer should start using this one for annotations and not your computer's name (e.g. Stefan_PC in my case )

sorry that isn't working.
beside the information filled in the section registration, there is another area. "Identity". The information in that section causes the name of the annotations.

But this name can not be changed? So my question is, how to change this input.

Hi Tom,

Yes this "Login name" can't be changed indeed, but if you fill in the field below it (Name) - the Login name will not be used when you make comments on PDFs and the "Name" would be used instead. So noone will be able to see your login name in files that you send to them.
