Crash on Searching Very Large File for Text

I tested v 3.0 beta 280 with my very large test file that I have been using to stress test other PDF Viewers.

Like Foxit Reader, PDF-XChange Viewer v 3.0 now fails this test. It crashed and I sent an error report to Microsoft.

The file is 280 Mbytes and 11,800 pages.

Thanks. I am not in any hurry — version 2 is fine for my current needs. For editing PDF files I use PagePlus.

Version 3 only becomes interesting to me if it can load files faster or search faster than the current version, or has some other nice GUI features like split window (already noted) or horizontal scrolling.

Hi Bhikkhu,

The speed of the Editor may well be improved upon in the final release - the Developers are doing their best to make it as fast as possible, which definitely should be faster than 2.5!

As for the UI; one of the most notable features planned is that it will be almost entirely customizable, and their are many new ways to View documents (see attached screen-shot)
