Hi Everyone,
Our organization has just shifted from PDF Factory to PDF XChange initial problems:
Earlier we used to select the pdf factory printer to print documents from various MS Office packages (sometimes collecting 50+ documents from various packages) and collate all the documents in the viewer and then print all the documents to the connected printer at one go (very simple and effective)
Note: We never used to save the file - just collate and print it used to help collecting the documents from the printer.
Kindly explain the if the above function is available with PDF XChange???
Best Regards

Re: Just moved from PDF Factory to PDF XChange (Help Needed)
Hi stephenim,
welcome to the forums and thanks for the post.
How you best do this will depend on which of our products you are using. If you are just using the Viewer you would open the respective PDF documents in the Viewer and drag the pages from the various documents into the target collated one as per this article: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowledgeba ... nge-Viewer
If you have the PDF-XChange Pro Bundle (https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/pdf-xchange-pro) you have additional ways of doing this. This Pro Bundle includes PDF-Tools (https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/pdf-tools) which is a wizard driven application for batch processing multiple files like this. You could use it to collate your source PDF files into a single new PDF.
The Pro Bundle also includes the full featured PDF-XChange Printer 2012 (the Viewer license only permits use of the Lite printer that doesn't have the following advanced features). With the PDF-XChange Standard Printer you have the option to use PDFSaver to manage jobs and print all your Office Document files to a single file if you wish. It also has integration right into the MS Office suite with similar options on converting the documents to PDF.
If you can tell me what package you are using I can offer more detail on any specific method available.

Re: Just moved from PDF Factory to PDF XChange (Help Needed)
Thanks stephenim,
that does seem to be the full printer not the limited Lite one which would have access to PDFSaver. Can you confirm this by looking in the start menu and checking to see that PSDSaver 5 is available or going to the Printer Preferences and checking that you have all the categories in this screen shot?

The reason I ask is that a license for the Viewer also includes the PDF-XChange Lite printer and it doesn't include PDF-Saver or the Office Integration and that will make a huge difference to how you do this. Also - if PDF-Tools is in the start menu that ill change things. I suspect it is not.
Also, don't post any serial keys here because it's public, but if you tell mem the email address or user name for your account I can look up exactly what you have and advise accordingly.

Hi stephenim,
great - so you have the full printer. Do you want to collate the files as they are created from MS Office or do you want to combine PDF files that already exist?
