Is there a plan to support the 'Previous View' and 'Next View' options supported in the PDF XChange Viewer in the "Editor". (This feature was accessible using the 'View > Goto > Previous View/Next View' option or the keyboard shortcuts Alt+Left or Alt+Right in the 'Viewer')
This feature was very useful when navigating in-document cross-references where a click on the hyperlinked text will jump to the referenced location and clicking the Previous View button/option would get back to the place from where the jump occurred. Right now, you need to remember where you jumped from to go back by using the 'Go to page' option.

Re: Support for 'Previous View' and 'Next View'
Hi RamNarayan,
it's in the Viewer now and the features of the Viewer are being migrated into the Editor so I believe the simple answer is yes, this will likely happen in a not too distant build.

Re: Support for 'Previous View' and 'Next View'
Thanks for the update.
Another aspect that is different in the Editor is that the searching of text does not stop at the end of the file like in Viewer, but instead wraps around to the top and continues the search. Is there a possibility that this behavior is customizable in a future version of the Editor?
Also I am not sure why there is a progress bar in the search mini-window. Is it to show the progress of indexing text for a search?
Also had asked the following query earlier when the first beta was out ,with respect to not having the Find option ('Ctrl-F' ) function as a toggle on the search mini-window, but similar to how the Viewer behaves (brings the search toolbar into focus). Is there any chance that this aspect may be looked at.

Hello srn123,
Thanks for your comments. For me the Viewer also doesn't stop at the end, but rather tries to find other entries of the search term at the start of the document. You will get a pop-up that the Viewer has searched through the all document once it's done so, but you can start on e.g. page 17 of a 100 page document, and the Viewer will search from page 17 onwards, and then go to the start of the file silently, and the prompt will show up only when you reach page 17 once again.
The progress bar will indicate how much the Viewer has processed and how much is left. It might not be needed for small documents but for larger ones you will know what portion of the file has been processed already. The same applies to the advanced search and it's progress bar, but there you could be searching in a folder of 100s of files so a progress bar is welcome in my opinion.
As for the last part of your post - I find this pop-up search box better, but once interface customization is available in the Editor you might be able to fix that to a toolbar and not have it as a floating window. I'd advise that we should wait a build or two and see how this will evolve.
Best,
Stefan

Re: Support for 'Previous View' and 'Next View'
Thanks Stefan for the reply.
Editor search perpetually cycles through the document on searched text whereas Viewer stops once the start point of the search has been reached (as you say, after if wraps around to the start of the file). I was referring to that behavior but didn't word it right. Especially in large documents, it isn't easily obvious that you are past the starting point of the search with the perpetual cycling search behavior until you start seeing familiar text or pictures or you keep track of the starting page for the search. But then it can always be debated that instead of "Find", searching with the "Search" option allows you to jump anywhere in the document with the search string.

Hi srn123
I see what you mean. This is by design, it shows all occurrences of the search term on the document with the previous/next buttons showing in a different colour the next instance. This is how web browsers typically do this and there is no plan to change that I'm afraid.
